In 2016 Capital Foundation had a project funded under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014. The project aimed at raising the awareness and stimulating involvement of the community to problems related to sustainable development and biodiversity in particular. 20 volunteers were trained. Articles were published at a special online section “Biodiversity” at the popular and well respected site www.dnevnik.bg. The project also produced a special edition for the promotion of the National monitoring system of biodiversity.
