In 2012 Capital Foundation did al training for journalists on EU budget, reform on CAP and cohesion policy. This was part of a project of Civil Coalition for Sustainable use of EU funds.
In 2011 we organized a discussion of the economic crisis in the EU and the possible consequences and solutions for the EU and Bulgaria. A project was supported by The European Parliament.
In 2011 we were part of a project for awareness raising in Bulgaria on the new legislation on labeling of food. We acted as a partner of the Information Office of the European Parliament in Bulgaria.
In 2011 we trained journalists from central and regional media on Natura 2000 topics. The event was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the State Fund “Agriculture” and the international conservation organization WWF.
In 2011 we were partner for organizing a conference on the impact of the climate change on business: cost, opportunities and prospects.
Year – 2011. We provided media training for 56 journalists.
In 2009-2010 we did a project for conducting journalistic investigations on important issues of public interest. The project was funded by Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe.
In 2009 we had a project focused on formulation of Bulgarian strategy for sustainable development. We organized four roundtables and a final discussion on four main themes – Economy and Finance; Energy and Ecology; Education; Tourism and Transport. Funding institution: The World Bank
In 2006 when Bulgaria was due to become an EU member we organized a visit of Bulgarian media in Estonia. There journalists got acquainted with the Estonia’s experience after its accession to the European Union. Funding institution: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.
In 2005 we organized two-day trainings for media in six regions of the country. There we explained basic concepts and mechanisms of functioning of the European Union, so as to enhance the competence of reporters and editors who follow this topic.
